- How does per-employee pricing work?
- You pay for each active employee in your Mellow account per month. Add an employee — you pay for them. Remove them — you stop paying. No minimum.
- Which countries does Mellow run payroll for?
- Six: the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, India and Australia. Each country’s tax rules are built into the engine and verified against official sources.
- Is payroll included, or an add-on?
- Included. Full HR and payroll comes with the Professional tier and above — for every country — with no separate per-country payroll fee.
- What currency am I billed in?
- Paddle handles billing in your local currency and shows your exact price at checkout. The prices on this page are approximate conversions of the GBP base price.
- Is there an annual billing discount?
- Yes — annual billing saves approximately 17% versus monthly.
- Can I change tier?
- Yes — upgrade any time (immediate). Downgrades take effect at your next billing date.

- Yes. Mellow has a full public REST API and webhooks, so it connects to your stack — accounting, finance, BI and bespoke tools. Direct app integrations are on the roadmap; the API and webhooks are available today (see the Developers page).

- Mellow offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Plans start at £4 per employee per month (Essentials), with Professional at £12, Enterprise at £20 and Intelligence at £30 per employee per month. You can cancel anytime.
- Does Mellow file payroll with HMRC?
- Mellow calculates UK PAYE, National Insurance and RTI to the penny and produces a ready-to-file Full Payment Submission and Employer Payment Summary. You file via the Government Gateway — the same filing-pack model Mellow uses across all six countries.
